Ingredients Punjabi Palak Paneer Recipe: 

1- 500g spinach leaves
2- 200g paneer, cubed
3- 2 medium-sized onions, chopped
4- 2 medium-sized tomatoes, chopped
5- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
6- a 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
7- 2 green chilies, chopped
8- 1 tsp cumin seeds
9- 1 tsp coriander powder
10- 1 tsp garam masala powder
11- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
12- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
13- 2 tbsp oil
14- Salt to taste
15- Water as required
16- Fresh cream (optional)

Instructions:

Wash the spinach leaves totally and blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Drain the water and blend the spinach into a fine paste.
Warm up oil in a pan and put in cumin seeds. Once they splutter, put in chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Saute until the onions turn translucent.
Put in cut-up tomatoes and cook until they shift mushy.
Put in turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and red chili powder. Mix nicely and cook for 1-3 minutes.
Add the spinach paste and salt. Blend nicely and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the gravy thickens.
Add cubed paneer and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
If the gravy is also thick, put it in water to modify the thickness.
Add fresh cream (optional) and mix well.
Serve hot with naan or roti.
